About Us
Serenbe Photography Center is a program of the not-for-profit Serenbe Institute, and was formed with the purpose of creating a regional photography resource to provide:
- a studio where photographers and working artists can make high quality prints and reproductions of their work at an affordable cost while maintaining control over each step of the creative process
- a wide variety of photography workshops for amateurs to professional photographers, including all types of photography and classic printing process, several of which are offered in partnership with other organizations
- a community focal point where photographers come together to share ideas and find mutual support in pursuing their photographic endeavors
Mission: Serenbe Photography Center is dedicated to the study and enjoyment of the photographic process and to photography that promotes cultural understanding and the health and well-being of people and our planet.
Instructors at the Serenbe Photography Center have included; Kathryn Kolb, Michael West, Robin Davis, Tom England, Donna Rosser, Peter Essick, Marilyn Suriani, Billy Howard, Todd Vinson, David Goldsmith,Stephen Brownlee and Mike Nalley.
Serenbe Photography Center functions as a 501(c)(3) organization under the umbrella of Serenbe Institute for Arts, Culture and the Environment, so your gifts and donations to SPC are tax-deductible.
Donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. You may also receive a tax deduction for equipment donations to the lab. Gifts, donations and sponsorships are open to individuals, businesses and institutions.
In order to build and maintain a state-of-the-art facility for the best photographic printing and in order to bring the best photography professionals to our area, SPC seeks both financial gifts as well as donations of photography equipment.
Donate Equipment:
Needed equipment for The Lab: photography books, or items for photography teaching purposes can be either donated outright for tax deduction, or can be donated on loan for a specified period whereupon the donator can have the equipment returned. Contact Lab Manager for details.
General Donations:
General donations are always welcome and may be used to help sponsor top quality photographers and speakers, to ensure our printing lab has state-of-art equipment, for scholarships, and for the general operation of our program.
